Redesign of the traditional Chinese tea tool set.
The project was motivated by the desire to establish a design language for a family of toolsets. The traditional Chinese tea ceremonies are steeped in principles of harmony and order, and my goal was to develop a refined and graceful solution that provides the tools with an elegant home while preserving their traditional functionality.
Chájù (茶具) is the Chinese translation for "Tea tools"

Tea Clip (茶夹)
Tongs are traditionally used to grip tea cups after they have been sterilized in hot water and move them to the tea tray. Tongs are also used to pick out brewed tea leaves from the pot.
Tea Scoop (茶勺)
"勺" translates to measure, used to scoop dry tea leaves out of a tea caddy.
Tea Needle (茶針)
The pin is used to clear the teapot of blockages and to break apart pucks of dry tea leaves.
